"Men make mistakes, that's why pencil got rubber..."
I was about 10-years old when a friend of mine said that to me at school. Yup, that's more or less 35 years ago, but those words still stucked in my lil' brain till this very day. Those days, mechanical pencil is considered luxary while white-out@liquid-paper is non-existant. When you make mistake, you use the little eraser at the end of your pencil.
But, is that so? When mistake made, just rub it off? The existence of rubber is a mere cause of men's mistakes being done? Men have to make mistake to grow. But some mistakes are fatal. There shall be a line between making mistake and learn to grow, and making mistake and die.
Let's imagine this. A magic rubber that can erase ANY mistakes.... Wow, now there is a huge market for that. But then, there is no such thing, no? When someone make that million dollar mistakes, all I got is an apology. Sighhhh....
.... apology accepted, and I moved on.... leaving them behind.

An apology is a good one when that particular person admits his/her fault, says sorry wholeheartedly and ask whether there's anything that can be done to rectify the wrong.
ReplyDeleteYes... which is why the apology was accepted. But nevertheless, the damages already done... Now it's the apologee who need to face the damage, while the apologer feel better after her apology were accepted... huhu
