I read about Tanjung Piai from some blog
entries before I made I decision to go there. If I have a bucket list, I know I’ll
definitely have it in my list and by now I’ll already cross it. But the fact
that I don’t have one, so I can’t cross one… Sighh…
I was probably the first visitor that
morning. Well, considering it’s a weekday, I do expect a very small number of visitors.
The ticket was only rm5. The wetland of paya bakau is a very interesting
experience for a city guy like me. The smell, the surrounding and the feel are,
while can be mentally expected, does project a certain aura on its own.
Luckily there is a pathway trail being
built there. But my bad luck, the trail towards the most south tip of Asia
Mainland was closed for renovation. Another bummer (Read the previous blog,
Chasing Sunrise)
But none was lost. I went to the fishing
jetty instead and spend the rest of the day, reading a book that I had procrastinated
for a while. The wind, the water, and the jetty is brilliant.
This is the virtue of a solo-vacation. I’m
not bounded by anyone’s schedule but mine and mine alone.
